When you think of Seattle, you think of this view. Taken from Kerry park, this is probably one of the most recognizable views of the city.
Long exposure with a 100mm lens.
Seattle Center Dusk + Mt. Rainier

This is the Seattle Center from Kerry Park on Queen Ann Hill….the mountain is Mt. Rainier. I have been training to climb it since January and hope to reach the summit in August. Guess what? I will be taking my camera…
BTW Mount Rainier is an active stratovolcano (also known as a composite volcano) in Pierce County, Washington, located 54 miles (87 km) southeast of Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It is the highest peak in the Cascade Range and Cascade Volcanic Arc at 14,411 feet (4,392 m). The mountain and the surrounding area are protected within Mount Rainier National Park. With 26 major glaciers, Mount Rainier is the most heavily glaciated peak in the lower 48 states with 35 square miles (91 km²) of permanent snowfields and glaciers. The summit is topped by two volcanic craters, each over 1,000 feet (300 m) in diameter with the larger east crater overlapping the west crater. Geothermal heat from the volcano keeps areas of both crater rims free of snow and ice, and has formed an extensive network of glacier caves within the ice-filled craters. A small crater lake, the highest in North America, occupies the lowest portion of the west crater below more than 160 feet (50 m) of ice and is accessible only via the caves.
Mount Rainier has a topographic prominence of 13,210 feet (4,026 m), greater than that of K2. It is a prominent feature of the southern landscape in most of the Seattle metropolitan area. On clear days, it can also be seen from as far away as Portland, Oregon, and Victoria, British Columbia. Because of its scenic dominance, Seattle-Tacoma-area residents sometimes refer to it simply as "the Mountain."

Interesting…
The filibuster is a a tool Washington uses to keep its own supporters (progressives) in line. If the filibuster is thrown out, there will be no firebreak to contain them. The possibility would then exist for an effective anti-Washington majority to emerge at least on particular issues, or, both parties will be broken as the Washington consensus deserts to form a third party.
Fascinating …

There is a time for everything,
a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.

The Timpani at the beginning is AMAZING! But, this soundtrack sounds really similar to the Merlin Soundtrack from the BBC, I noticed that the first time I saw Merlin. I know it's not the same but there are some similarities. Anyway, awesome soundtrack, one of my favourites.

It may interest you to know what C.A.R.M. says about the falsehood of Mormonism before you go endorsing it. Interestingly enough they talk more about the fraud of Mormonism than they do about the alleged “sin” of homosexuality. Now why would they do that if Mormonism is true?
