This is part 3 to our interview with Earl Alexander, the voice of Louis in the hit game, Left 4 Dead. We ran into Earl in Seattle while attending PAX 2009. Ben and I are writer/director respectively so this is less a journalistic interview and more us just geeking out, hehe. Why do you believe that Doocy couldn't find Haiti on a map?

From the little we've seen this morning while getting dressed and ready to face the world, there seems to be adequate coverage of this tragedy on FNC.

Just because something awful happens, that doesn't automatically mean there needs to be wall-to-wall coverage, especially if new and useful information isn't flowing. Repeating the same info over and over, and stretching it out with filler doesn't necessarily make for better coverage, just more.

Chet Holcomb – During some point in the business development cycle, every business owner asks themselves the following question: How do I attract more customers who will spend more money & bring me more profits? Most business owners are not in business to provide charity & they need some way of attracting more [...]

I agree jennifer, he beat plenty of prime fighters and some of them are legends not to mention guys that are hall of fame worthy, you pretty much showed the facts with your list no one can deny it and if they do they are haters. And yeah like many say in this video no doubt that if Oscar fought Manny from 95-03 Oscar beats a prime pacquiao. I also heard Oscar was seriously dehydrated for the fight, i think he had to drop from 160+ to 145 in only 2-3 weeks. Nice video of Oscar m8

DT,What you write is unclear to me.Do you disagree that Chabad messianism created an intermediary between G-d and man?Or do you think that it is not wrong to create such an intermediary?Or do you think that serving such an intermediary is not Avodah Zarah? That can be argued, also for Chet HaEgel. And also for Jews for Jesus.Or do your resist the idea that the punishment for Chet HaEgel would be applicable to this case. Then I am with you.Speaking with fellow Jews is great. Arguing with Chabad propagandists is futile and I fear that exposure to their teachings is harmful and confusing to most Jews.

put out to co-writing – and then completely writing – some of the best dialogue and possibly narrative put out in any game, ever) is ample enough evidence.I suppose it's a lot like ordering off a restaurant menu. I mean, what DO you choose? What about next time? Do you stick with the same choice then? And the time after that? And after that?I guess the correct choice would be the thing you enjoy. I suffered from writer's block for a few years – wrote a novel when I was fifteen, burned it, stopped writing and then simply couldn't start up again; even if you don't believe in writer's block, I, at least, sure as my nickname's Kroms couldn't put words on paper, and even the things I wrote on Mixnmojo were terrible, and up until yesterday I had a lot, lot, lot of trouble getting basic news across – and then somehow managed to crack open those long-dormant pores yesterday and get the juices flowing. I am now 20. That's 5 years of my life. The quality of my writing has gone down by several hundred degrees. Do I let that get to me? No. I practice. That was 4000 words in one sitting yesterday. It was only 300 words today, granted, but I think I can hit another 4000 tomorrow if I try.I don't want to be a novelist, though. I want to be a games writer. But there's little to no doubt in my mind that writing great prose will translate to a better handling of games writing. Similarly, I'm positive that an understanding of story structure will help in some other way. It's hardly a direct influence – games are a whole new medium that isn't fully understood – but there's no denying that these are all things that add to your well. Just as a final point, I have three books by Hemingway here: the First Forty-Two Short Stories (fiction), Death in the Afternoon (essay), and A Moveable Feast (memoir). I have little doubt the experience from each contributed to his greater works. You know more than I do, and I've written far too much, so I'll shut up now. Just one final note: Cormac McCarthy recently said this: “Just the sheer number of things will devalue them. I don't care whether it's art, literature, poetry or drama, whatever. The sheer volume of it will wash it out.” I thought of that when deciding to get into video games instead of books (well, that and the fact I love that they're a 'young' medium). I guess I want a piece of posterity. That's something worth thinking about.Sorry for the long post.]]>
