   I feel that Denver had the bigger impact on Ron's life. This is because throughout the book after Ron and Denver became friends, it was obvious to the reader that Denver was reshaping Ron's life. Ron began to see all of life and the deeper amount of thought some simple acts should take (like being someone's friend). Also when Deborah got cancer Denver was there showing the true faith in pray in the amazing things it is meant to do. Although Ron did help Denver regain trust in others, and be able to get close to others again. Ron got a whole new perspective on life because of Denver.

   I also definitely believe that the relationship between Denver and her mother (Sethe), started to change with the second half of the novel. I do feel that Denver was over protective, and probably trying to protect her from outside 124 (and succeed for many years), but once Beloved came to the house, everything changed. Once Beloved came, Sethe's priorities completely changed. I agree with your comment how Denver was afraid of Sethe. I feel she was afraid because Beloved was brainwashing, in a way, Sethe. Sethe lost all control of everything, and maybe Denver was afraid Beloved was going to convince Sethe to kill Denver, so Beloved could have full control.
