@tdlobib: Not just Julius Pierpont Patches (KIRO-TV)! Also, Stan Boreson & Wunda Wunda (KING-TV), Captain Puget (KOMO-TV), Brakeman Bill (KTNT-TV). All were live childrens TV shows. Of course, JP (aka Chris Wedes) was the wackiest!
@evenmorebetter: In Seattle’s early days, Ballard had a lot of Scandinavian imigrants and this is just an affectionate poke in the ribs at the slower pace of life in that area. In reality, bad driving knows knows no ethnic heritage.

ROFL I remember this segment. Still accurate today. I was born and raised in Ballard in the 80s and lived there up until 2 years ago. This show was always spot on.
There’s condo’s everywhere in Seattle good news is if people quit buying them you’ll be able to get a cheap apartment in about 3 years.

Yep! This seems accurate! I moved to Ballard in ‘95, the tail-end of when it still seemed like its own town, and had character! The opening was shot by “Mike’s”, in the parking lot of the now-defunct Ernst (bought my early house-remodeling supplies there, until end of ‘96).
Speaking of “Fargo, ND”…I moved to a small town in SW ND in 2002; not too many drivers at all here! A little more German/Russian than Scandinavian, tho!

Almost Home Boarding and Grooming is the best!!!!! Trust me I have been taking my animals there for almost 6 years now.
They are FANTASTIC with the animals while the animals board with Almost Home Boarding and Grooming they can recieve there vaccs here,get groomed, have Extra Playtime and Extra Walks even cats get Cuddle time; no animal is left out.!!!! It's awesome so I highly recommend Almost Home to any pet owner.
